This handcrafted map shows the trade and travel routes of the mid 1800’s. The making of this map took 4 years of work. With this map you can follow the path of explorers and trace the journey of caravans and sailors. Much of the information in the map comes from contemporary travelers, and I have put much effort into bringing to live their most interesting observations. This map is the result of extensive research, drawing from over 400 articles of contemporary travel journals and modern academic papers and books. It is a labor of love and a genuine historical experience.
